Love Your Enemies

Do any of you ever struggle with getting along with certain people? I know that I do. I have had a really hard time working with some people, but in God's Word it says to love your enemies. I think that a lot of us forget sometimes that we are all loved by God, therefore we must all love each other! What I have personally discovered is that the only way to get along with someone that you don't really care for is to kill them with kindness! There are also a lot of different ways that we can tolerate others :o) I'm sure that you have all heard the saying, "treat others the way you want to be treated" or, "if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all!"

Faith

So lately I have been thinking a lot about faith and why it is soooo important. I am reading EXCEEDINGLY GROWING FAITH, by Kenneth E. Hagin. There are so many things in this book that have opened my eyes to how I should be giving God ALL of my faith, especially when I need to step out IN faith. There is something changing in my life right now that I am totally expecting God to help me get through and I know that I cannot get through it without Him.
I love the scripture about the girl that had the faith for Jesus to heal her, and when she touched His robe she was healed because she BELIEVED! I love that! I am still learning to completely rely on God to take care of all of the big things in my life, but I have seen that when we give the Lord our all and when we hand over the things in our lives to Him and TRUST that He will take care of them that He truly WILL take care of them. His Word is the truth!

Short & Sweet

So we had our mexican fiesta tonight at New Life for the Youth Group and I thought that it was so much fun! I was so glad that my parents came! I truly feel that God is starting to do something in them. I just want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and so awesome to my parents:o) That was such a blessing.

I am still dogsitting and I hope that they get home soon because I would like to go home and go to bed :o) I have been here for 10 days, so I am ready to go home. Plus we have the prayer furnace tomorrow, so I need some extra sleep...ohh well.
Well I hope that everyone is doing well and I hope you all have an awesome and blessed weekend!!!

Breaking Free

Isn't it amazing that God has broken us free from so many things that we used to be attached to?

"But today I am freeing you from the chains on your wrists." Jeremiah 40:4

As I was looking at the cover of my workbook (it says Breaking Free and it has shackels that have been unlocked and broken) and I was just thinking about all of the things that God has brought me out of and delivered me from, to where I am now. God wants us to be in the place where we are in His presence and relying on Him and giving our every need to Him. When Jesus died on that cross, it was for OUR sins, and it was to set US free. God loves US and so in return WE need to give OUR all to the one who died for US. Just think, we have been released from death and have been given eternal life just because we believed. HOW AWESOME! We tend to forget or get caught up in the world where we don't always honor God and yet, He loves us the same. What a wonderful God!

God's Goodness

So it's about time that I make a post! It's been too long! So tonight we all get about an extra hour of sleep which rocks! :o) I feel like I have lost a lot of sleep lately.
I am done taking my state boards (I hope) hopefully forever... I passed my written test (PRAISE GOD!!!) and hopefully I will have passed my practical test. I don't find out for about a week... I hate waiting hehe ;o) So once I get my license, you guys can come to me for manicures :o)

I just want to thank God for blessing me and for helping me to conquer things that I would never have been able to achieve without Him. He truly is the rock on which I stand!!! And the exciting thing is that He doesn't just stop here, He just keeps on blessing and blessing!!!

Encouraging

I was watching Joel Osteen tonight and he was talking about being encouraging. How we talk to people should be in an uplifting way. We shouldn't talk to someone who is lazy, we should talk to them in an encouraging/positive way. We should always be positive to our friends and even to ourselves. We should always look towards the light :o) "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17

Sleepy

Good Morning everyone! I just thought that I would write something while I am on the internet this morning. I am getting ready for work and I feel like I am glued to this chair. I am actually house/dog sitting right now and I didn't really get as much sleep as I anticipated...It's about 6:45am and I have 15 minutes before I have to leave for work. I am watching 4 little Boston Terriers. They are so funny! I love them, but I wish I had put them in their cages all night instead of at 2:30 am hehe :o) Oh well.
As I was reading this morning, this verse stuck out to me;" And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." :o)

All Things Are Possible With GOD :o)

This story may sound a little bit silly but oh well. As I was getting ready for work I knocked over a bunch of my bracelets/wristbands that I have sitting by my window that are for breast cancer or cancer, diseases etc (for example LIVESTRONG) and the only 2 that didn't get knocked over onto the floor were my GODSTRONG and LIVE FOR HIM wristbands. And God just spoke to me that with Him, He is the one who can get rid of cancers and diseases. He is the one who can conquer all those things and He cannot be defeated. With HIM all things are possible.

What can I say? I am so blessed! God has done so many awesome things in my life just in the past couple of weeks. He has answered my prayers as far as me moving out, he has strengthened me in so many things that used to be great weaknesses, and he has given me so many great friends that are my brothers and sisters in Christ! :o) What's not to love about God? Honestly!?
I just thought that I would just say THANK YOU LORD!!!

FINALLY!

Moving Out

Oh my goodness! I can't believe that I will be moving out of this house. Finally!!!! I spent almost all day packing and just cleaning out everything that I will be taking with me. My room looks so naked, it's crazy!! It feels so good to know that a new season is coming and that I will have some new responsibilities ahead of me. God is really going to stretch me and do some great things and I am very excited! I hope that you all come and visit me and Kristin H in K-squared hehe :o)

Isn't it funny sometimes on how much little faith we have as Christians? We are here on earth to serve God and yet we forget sometimes that he wants us to use him. For example;
So about two weekends ago I was getting out of a van and my leg socket popped and it really hurt, and I didn't want to walk on it so I was limping on and off because the pain would just come and go. So I would go to work and just limp around on this leg because my socket hurt so much! Well the pain was still there for over a week, and guess what?? I never even thought to pray about it. I was so close to just taking some pain killers and just calling it good. I just felt so stupid, and embarrassed. So then I prayed about it, and the pain is gone! It just goes to show that we (I) should remember that God is always here, he wants us to always wear our faith shades and trust in him, and pray for things.

God is so good:o) I am so blessed because just recently our salon hired a new stylist. She's a Christian and she loves the Lord. I remember that when she first started, she just seemed to have a peace over her and I knew she seemed different in some way. So we got to talking and she saw my GODSTRONG bracelet and asked me if I was a Christian, and I said yes. She told me that she was a Christian herself!
I have learned a lot of neat things about her. We have talked a lot about God and how He has blessed the both of us.
Last night she, Rachael and myself went out to dinner. We had a lot of great conversations and it was lots of fun!
I love working with her, and I love knowing that I have a new friend!
It is so nice to have another Christian working at the same salon. :o)

Today was pretty good, although different from any other Tuesday haha :o) I worked at 11 and pretty much had no clients all day until late. So most of the day I studied for my State Boards and then I got my hair done :o) So I'm not blond anymore... :o) Yes, I was excited.

Awww tomorrow my sister leaves me for MSU and I am sad... I'm gonna miss her. I can't believe that my little Allison is all grown up and going to Michigan State for Nursing... WOW
So tomorrow while I am working, she is going to be so excited and moving into her dorm without me :o( Oh well, if things work out, I might go see her Thursday. Oh my gosh this is so weird...

Well tomorrow is going to be a good day because it's an early day for me and I work 9-4. Then after work Louise and I are supposed to see Red Eye which looks really good! Then after that off to Sarah and Annie's house for the Iron Sharpens Iron night 7-9. Looks like a good day!

How Great is Our God

So I just finished the book by Darlene Zschech called Extravagent Worship and it was soo good! I felt like I worship so much differently. I feel like I know the true meaning of worship now. I feel God's presence more. It's all about God and we have to remember that. I want him to know how much I love him. I think God spoke to me a lot about what I need to and how I can be a better worshipper. I think this book was an easy read for anyone who is interested. Darlene really showed her fire for God in this book. There were so many good examples! Yeah, but to sum it up it was a really good book! Read it! :o)

Worship like crazy tomorrow :o)
